Adult Tennis Level 1

Of the 4 adult tennis lessons in Lake Oswego with a published price, the typical (median) starting price is $199.50, ranging from $152 to $228. These are the venues' own listed rates, not estimates, and each listing says what the price covers.

Group clinics are the default for beginners: rally partners, built-in practice time and usually a social circle, for a fraction of the price. Privates cost more but move faster if you have one specific problem to fix.

Racquets can usually be borrowed or rented at parks and clubs; balls are provided. Wear tennis shoes if you have them — running shoes are fine for a first lesson — and bring water and a hat.

That's the most common starting point, and most adult programmes are built for it. Level 1 clinics assume you can get the ball over the net inconsistently, or not at all; there's no age cap.

Neither is required for lessons. A membership is rarely needed — a few private clubs ask for one and the listing says so. Ratings matter for league play, not for classes; coaches group you by what they see on the day.
