About Local Class Finder

We help you find real, bookable classes near you — without the noise of ads or AI-generated filler.

What this site is

Local Class Finder is a free directory of local classes and clubs — floral arranging, mahjong, tennis, walking clubs, chess, knitting and more — across dozens of US cities. Every listing links out to the venue's own page, so you book with the studio or organizer directly.

Where the data comes from

Listings are researched from the venues' own websites, parks & recreation catalogs, and public class listings. We do not generate or invent courses: if a price, schedule or address isn't published, we leave the field empty rather than guess. Each listing carries its last checked date, and listings that disappear get removed on the next pass.

How listings are verified

Every course is checked against the venue's own page before it goes live: the price, schedule and booking link come from the source, not from us. Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis — every page shows the date its listings were last verified — and dead links are removed in the monthly health pass. Course pages that a human researcher has confirmed by phone or a live booking check carry a "✓ verified" badge.

Why we show dates

Local class listings go stale quickly. Instead of hiding that, we print the last-verified date on every city guide, class page and provider page, and we refresh those dates whenever we re-check the data. If a listing has been up too long, it's removed rather than left to rot.

What we never do

No invented listings. No scraped-and-rewritten descriptions pretending to be original. No placeholder prices. If we can't verify a class, it doesn't go on the site.

Free to use

This site is free to use — no paywall, no sign-up. Listings are ordered by relevance to the city and category, and every listing links straight to the venue's own booking page. If a listing is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
